“Then I examined my own heart. And there you were. Never, I fear, to be removed.” – Jane Austen
Finally getting around to blogging this gorgeous shoot!! And I’m so proud to have had it featured on The White Wren!! I still look back on all my pictures from England and have to pinch myself to remember that it wasn’t a dream. Even though I didn’t get to see a quarter of the things I wanted to in England- it gave me a wonderful taste of everything the UK has to offer. In the two years since my trip, my family and I have had lots of conversations about the future and the UK. We were all supposed to go back for a couple of weeks in the summer of 2021, but with covid and all the restrictions, we decided to postpone. We’re hopeful that in another year it’ll be easier to travel internationally!
Until then, my Mom has decided to apply for dual citizenship in the UK. If you didn’t know, my Grandmother was born in Bristol and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was a child in the 50s. You couldn’t get British citizenship through your mother when my Mom was born- so we’re having to do a lot of research now! But she’s already applied for a US passport (1st step) and we’re super excited to continue down this path and see what it holds! (I’m also hoping that once she gets it, I’ll be able to apply too!) It’s really exciting to imagine a future where I wouldn’t have to leave the UK.
But until then, I’ll just keep looking back at all my pictures and reminiscing! Enjoy a few of my favorites from this shoot! It felt like something out of a Jane Austen novel to me!
