“When I fall in love, it will be forever.” – Jane Austen
No sunrise will ever be able to compare with the sunrise we had that morning for the Cotswolds bridal session. I woke up at 6:30 am to Sarah knocking repeatedly at the door so she could change into the beautiful Claire Pettibone dress- While I tugged on a pair of jeans and threw my trench coat on over my pajama top.
We all piled into the van and drove down the lane to this picturesque spot. It was cold, I immediately regretted being too lazy to put on a sweater, and we had to whisper so we didn’t scare away the sheep. But as the sun began to peek over the trees, I took a moment to soak it all in.
This week had actually happened. I had flown across an ocean. To the country, I had been dreaming of visiting since I was 5 and watched Pride and Prejudice for the first time, and on top of all that I was getting to capture some of the most beautiful shoots.
Every time I go to a workshop with Julie, I feel like I am emersed in another world. This Cotswolds bridal session made me feel like I was in a Jane Austen novel. From the beautiful British countryside, the romantic lace dress, and the organic bouquet with pink roses peeking out; it made me realize how in love I am with this job and also with this country.
I didn’t think it would be possible for me to come home more in love with England then I already was, but I did…
Also- Isn’t Sarah the cutest pregnant lady ever?! She just had her and Tommy’s first child- Thomas Shepherd last month!
