“Southern Charm meets Vogue”
One of best parts of slow season is getting to catch up on all the beautiful styled shoots I attended! Last May I got to spend 3 days at Meghan Baskin’s workshop in Charleston and I can say without a doubt that it was one of the best educational investments I’ve ever made into my business. I stayed in the cutest Airbnb downtown with all the other attendees and I’ve never been in a house so full of love and community. I still talk with many of the girls weekly and we’ve all talked about trying to get our group together again.
Not only was the community formed there amazing- the education and styled shoots Meghan put together for us was incredible. The very first morning all of the attendees got up at Sunrise to shoot this beautiful elopement editorial with Danielle and Ben. Sunrise in Charleston is my favorite- not only are the views beautiful, but the entire city is wrapped in a golden stillness. A city that is usually bustling becomes almost a private paradise, where you can wander all the streets, shoot at all the iconic spots, and stop to kiss in as many crosswalks as you like.
Danielle’s chic white dress from Sachina & Babi, was a beautiful contrast to her whimsical pearl heels and spring colored bouquet from Salt & Stem. Ben wore a classic black suit that popped against the pink wall of The Mills House Hotel and the iconic Pink Figgy! We wandered the streets for a few hours soaking up every palm tree, cobblestone street, and pink wall Charleston had to offer. The best way to spend a morning in low-country.
