Alexis is officially Mrs. Carnes!! This means I can FINALLY share her bridal session!!! I have had so much fun getting to know Alexis and Shawn over the past few months. They are just such sweet, genuine, and kind people. We went to Charleston for their engagement session this spring and the night before their session we went out to dinner and I felt like I had known them for years. We sat at Saltwater Cowboys for hours chatting and it was almost scary how much we had in common!! From favorite restaurants to our mutual love of travel (although they are both much more traveled than me!)- I feel like their wedding was just the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
I was so excited to do Alexis’ bridal session when I got back from New England!! She had texted me all excited in June saying she found the cutest new venue downtown that would be perfect for her session- and she was so right!! Sugar Magnolias is BEAUTIFUL!!! A random thing about me that you might not know is that I’ve inherited my Mom’s love of real estate. My Mom loves poking around on Zillow and seeing all these old buildings that could be beautiful again- if only someone would take the time to fix them up and love on them! So I absolutely love getting to look at the before and afters of Sugar Magnolias on Instagram!! Courtney has done such an amazing job renovating and I’m so excited to have this beautiful venue in Augusta!! Another of my couples has already booked it for their wedding as a getting ready location- and I can’t wait to go back!!
