Bridal Portrait at Rose Hill in Aiken

I know it’s not Thursday, but how about a throwback Wednesday?? I realized that even though this shoot got published several times (One of my first times ever getting published!! Eeeek!!), I’ve never shared it here on my blog! So I wanted to go ahead and share some of my favorites from the shoot!

First off- We got to shoot at Rose Hill which is one of my FAVORITE venues in Aiken!! My sister got married there almost 5 years ago and from the moment we toured the venue, I was in love with the historic property. From the old window panes, vintage wallpaper, fun black and white tiles in the entry, and all the beautiful light the inside of the house gets- this venue is definitely one of Aiken’s hidden gems!

Our color palette was inspired by the beautiful pinks, reds, and purples of late summer berries. (Also- my favorite color is pink and I just really wanted an excuse to do a shoot with those colors!) We had two different looks for our beautiful model, Taylor, to wear from House of the Bride. A fitted sophisticated look for pictures by the gazebo outside, and then a fun tulle skirt overtop the dress while we were shooting inside for a more whimsical romantic look! Rebekah from Florologie designed a BERRY beautiful (Sorry. Couldn’t help myself.) bouquet that complimented both looks perfectly, as well as the centerpiece for our tablescape.

Speaking of the tablescape… We did a fun mix of old and new: Kate Spade dishes, Anthropologie and vintage stemware from Griffins Nest, acrylic place cards from Kcreatives, and antique cutlery! The Stables Restaurant made us the most delicious brunch (That definitely didn’t go to waste 😉 ) and we also had a gorgeous (and also super yummy) cake from Cilla’s Cakes!

Love how this shoot turned out and am so grateful for all the vendors that helped bring my vision to life!! Hope you love it as much as I do!
