Spring and summer were pretty slow seasons for the wedding industry (Thanks COVID). So many wedding and portrait sessions had to be postponed or canceled and I’m not gonna lie. It sucked. I’m not used to not having something to do for that long, so I texted some of my favorite Friendors and we pulled together this fun styled bridal session! Bonus: I’ve been wanting to do a bridal session in Hopelands Gardens for the longest time! And I finally got to! Sort of…
I love anything that’s fun and a little different, so when I found this beautiful Watters dress that had a lavender hue to it- I knew I had to find an opportunity to photograph it!! Colored wedding dresses are one of my favorite things ever and I’m so glad they’re becoming more popular!! Amelia Rose Floral designed our bouquet, and I just love how the Eucalyptus and bits of Lavender sticking out every which way gives it the perfect touch of whimsy!!
Also- Just a little fun fact about our model, Leanora… I used to babysit her and her siblings!! It was honestly freaky to see her in a wedding dress, knowing that in a few more years (well more than a few… she’s only 16 and there’s *no* rush deciding on who you’ll spend forever with!) this could all be happening for real!! Way to make me feel old!!
I had a very hard time narrowing down images for the blog post, but here are just a few of my favorites!
