There are so many things I loved about this session- Cator Woolford Gardens is stunning, we had perfect weather, and how gorgeous is this little family?! But the thing I loved most of all about this session was the milestones it commemorated.
I’ve known Kaylee for almost 3 years now, and in that time frame, she’s become one of my very dearest friends. She prays for me, supports me, and I consider her an unbiological sister. If you follow me or Kaylee on social media you’ve probably seen us posting about her and Mitch’s little girl- Miss Paisley Rae.
Paisley was diagnosed at her 16-week ultrasound with a very rare condition called a bladder outlet obstruction- that had greatly decreased her amniotic fluid around her and damaged her kidneys. Mitch and Kaylee travel across the country after receiving the diagnosis- only to be told by doctors that Paisley had less than a 1% chance of survival. They pleaded with God for Paisley’s life- and Mitch told Kaylee, as they cried in a Philadelphia hotel room, that as long as Paisley had a heartbeat- they were going to fight for her.
Paisley beat all the odds and was born on April 23rd, 2017. She started dialysis when she was 3 days old- but on May 21, 2021 Mitch donated one of his kidneys to her and she has been thriving since then! We took these pictures about a month after the surgery and a month before Ella Rose made her entrance into the world! Yes! Paisley is a big sister!!
I’m so grateful I’ve gotten to be part of their lives these last few years! It has been incredible to watch God open doors and provide for their family!! It has built my own faith tremendously and I am so excited to see what the next few years will hold for them!
I love you to Sandersville and back, Brown family!!
This is probably one of my favorites from the whole session. These two have the sweetest bond and I know it will only grow stronger as Paisley gets older and realizes how hard her Dad fought for her and how much he loves her.
